Parties Voted For in Presidential Elections

For my chart using historical data, I just went out to find a complete list of United States Presidents (yay, elections are in 2 days! unless you voted early! PLEASE GO VOTE.), tallied up how many times each party had been elected since the beginning.

George Washington had no party affiliation, therefore he is the only No Party member on the chart. John Adams was a Federalist, and there were only one of those, so he’s the only one of them on the chart. Whigs had been elected 4 times but one took over when another president had died, so there were 4 Whigs and there were 4 Democratic-Republicans as well. We have had a Democratic president 15 times, and a Republican president 18 times.

Go vote.

I’m watching you.

totally watching you
